My Supports

People are the largest supporting factor in my life. I cherish my family and friends and would not be where I am today without them. My parents give me moral support in everything that I try to accomplish, and with their help I am able to balance working, studying, and engaging in a social life. My friends keep my grounded and allow me to grow and try to become a well-rounded individual. If I were exposed to a situation where I would not have my parents and friends, I would most likely struggle to find a balance that suits me and would feel a sense of disarray. They also contribute to my health, which is another factor that helps me be capable of day-to-day activities. A stable job enables me to have a steady income that supports my desire to improve myself as it is important to have a good foundation and education.

As technology continues to become an integral part in many people's daily lives, it is hard to imagine a life without it. Without technology I would not be able to do this course, I would be limited in my job, and would not be able to connect as often and easy with my father and friends that live in different countries from me. Having technology in my life allows me to easily have access to information, communicate with others, and increase my knowledge.

  1. Nicole, I completely understand. My family is my biggest support system of all. I feel so sad and sorry for children who do not have families who love and support them no matter what. I had one little boy last year who I just wanted to take home, knowing how his home life was. I just wanted to adopt him and give him a better life. He still comes to visit and loves to see me and give me a big hug. I agree also, technology is definitely a support for me. I would be lost with out it. I can't imagine those who not have a working phone, computer, etc to be in contact with their family or loved ones.
